arcadia is committed to the health and well-being of its community members. for important covid-19 (coronavirus) information, including faqs, visit arcadia.edu/coronavirus.
for the health and safety of all university community members, arcadia’s protocol is in accordance with governor wolf’s stay-at-home order (stay at home order guidance) to avoid being exposed to covid-19 and in order to slow down the rate at which it spreads.
to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus and other respiratory infections, the cdc recommends the following prevention measures:
it is highly recommended that students and employees who believe they may have come in contact with the virus, self-monitor in their place of dwelling while monitoring for signs and symptoms of illness as described by the cdc.
the cdc has provided a good resource to screen your symptoms online.if you feel sick with fever or cough or have difficulty breathing:
arcadia students have the option of connecting with a provider via phone and/or video chat using new telehealth services. during a physician consult, you will be able to speak to a physician for the diagnosis and treatment of many different acute illnesses. click the button below for more information.
prevention is the best way to limit the spread of disease. if you find that you are not feeling well after returning, then please seek medical care as described. otherwise, self-monitor yourself for the specified time so that if you do become ill, the risk of spreading your illness to others is minimal.
if you feel your symptoms are at emergency levels i.e. shortness of breath, fever over 102⁰f, chest pain etc., that cannot wait until the morning, call 911 and explain that you are being monitored for potential exposure to coronavirus and need emergency medical care.
